Apex Girls Events is excited to announce that it will be powering Italia Lacrosse's US based tryout this September. Utilizing our long standing network and operations experience, we will help execute and promote this event for Women's Senior National Team Head Coach Lindsey Colferai and Italia Lacrosse. Colferai writes, "The future of Team Italy is incredibly bright and we're thrilled to be partnering with Apex Lacrosse to support us with our US-based try-out in New Jersey at the end of September. As the Head Coach of the Women's Senior National Team and a dual-Italy/US citizen, I recognize how important it is to continue to spread the search for potential Italy Lacrosse athletes across the globe. We are looking for those who are eligible to try-out, but also for players and families deeply connected to their Italian heritage, players who embody a convivial and altruistic spirit, one who wants to better those around them, and can be not only a top player but also a coach on the field. Our sport has only been in Italy for roughly 20 years, this is an opportunity to join at the ground-level and help develop our lacrosse culture and what it means to play for Italy Lacrosse."
Tryouts will be held at Capelli Sports Complex in Tinton Falls, NJ on September 30, 2023 and will be immediately followed by a small Sixes style round-robin event. The following day will consist of the Apex Fall Opener, a signature youth championship event, at the ALL TURF complex. Chelsea Rosiek, VP or Girls Events is excited to bring Team Italia to Capelli. "Apex is excited to work with Team Italia to bring a Fall tryout to the east coast in 2023. Our goal as an event operator is to continue to provide opportunities for girl's lacrosse to grow on both the national and international stage. As we make strides to bring lacrosse to the Olympics, supporting all lacrosse communities is at the forefront of Apex Girls events and our mission to grow the game." Furthermore, Danielle Kirk, President of Girls Events adds, "Lacrosse has historically been a small community of strong people who have tirelessly advocated for it to be presented to the global market. Apex is proud to be able to set a local stage for what is undoubtedly the next step in our sport's future - the Olympics."
