Does the above sound familiar? This question is posed by parents and players to their club coaches every year, and it's completely understandable. How can a player possibly attend all of the prospect days that they get invited to?

Coaches host prospect days to interact firsthand with recruits. How does the player listen? How does he react to being coached? Does he get along with his teammates? There are a lot of intangibles coaches are looking for that can't be answered by watching from the sideline. At prospect days and camps, the coaches get to have these interactions, which in turn helps them make decisions about potential recruits.

On the other side, prospect days are great for players to meet coaches in person and be on the field with them, where they will potentially spend the next four years together. Can the player see himself being in the huddle with that coach? Does he like playing for that particular coach? These are questions that can only be answered on prospect days.

Players and coaches want to have personal, on-field interactions, but players can't get to every individual prospect day.
