NCAA D3 Tournament Preview: Wesleyan's Backer Zone and Why It Works

With a last-second goal in the final 20 seconds of their quarterfinal matchup with Tufts, the Wesleyan men's lacrosse team has advanced to the Final Four for the second straight year. 

And just like last year, they will face off against No. 1-seeded RIT (21-0). While they will no doubt have their hands full with the Tigers, this year's Wesleyan team is hoping their zone defense will give them enough opportunities to create a new outcome. Inside Lacrosse's Kyle Devitte breaks down how their zone works, and why it could spell success for the Cardinals:
